My name is Sierra Doherty, a May-2005 graduate of Alaska Pacific University and K/1 teacher at Axios Academy in Wasilla, Alaska.  While in my senior year of college, I was introduced to a unique curriculum that enabled me to act on an idea I've wanted to pursue for a number of years.  As I proceed to explore my interest and passion this summer, I hope to raise awareness about the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and ask you to help me generate funds for non-profit MS organizations that ease MS symptoms and conduct research to rid MS.

To raise MS awareness and support, I am hiking the 468-mile Colorado Trail as you read this page right now and am asking you to join me with your pledge of some amount of money per mile.  Come with me on my website as I hike along the trail right now!    I'm updating my site at checkpoints along the trail, so come with me and support MS awareness and research and please give generously to those who cope with this devastating disease every day.

THANK YOU for your support   -Sierra
